Evening Wear

In 2001 one of my younger sisters, Joanne Shenandoah, was nominated for a Grammy Award. This was the first year a Native American Category was added, so she asked my wife Cheryl and myself to make something special for her, her daughter, another sister and our mother to wear. Here are our creations for that event.

This evening gown was especially made for Joanne Shenandoah to wear to the Grammy Awards. Made of white deerskin accented with purple and white wampum beads.

This evening gown was especially made for Dianne Shenandoah. Made of smoked willow deerskin with mother of pearl bead accents.

This evening gown was especially made for Leah Shenandoah to wear to the Grammy Awards. Made of smoked willow deerskin with accents of picture jasper beads.

This gown was especially made for Maisie Shenandoah to wear to the Grammy Awards. This is a traditional eastern woodland dress made of white deerskin, has a wolf on the front with a two-row wampum belt on back done in purple and white wampum beads. As my mother is an official Wolf Clan Mother of the Iroqouis confederacy, we believe this was fitting for her to wear.

After designing these gowns in 2001 and receiving so much positive feedback,
my wife and I decided to expand our product line to include deerskin evening
wear. If you would like a unique, custom-made gown for any special ocassion,
we will work with you on design ideas. If you already have a certain design
in mind, we can create a gown especially for you !!!

Pricing on evening gowns is determined on an individual basis,
depending upon the design and materials used.
